Leodis Academies Trust is a successful Multi Academy Trust with five schools in the South Leeds area. Due to a restructure of the HR function, we have an outstanding opportunity for two HR Officers to join the central team.  You will provide effective HR administration and guidance across the Trust working closely with the Central Team and School Business/Office Managers to ensure an efficient and consistent HR provision to all academies.

Who are we looking for?

This is an exciting opportunity in moving towards the next stage of the development of our HR function.  With a varied workload including recruitment, HR advice and project work, you will be adept at multi-tasking and responding in a timely and efficient manner.  You will be well organised and have the ability to prioritise and deal with conflicting demands.  With experience of HR administration and practices, you will bring this knowledge and experience to this role and be able to apply it in a multi academy trust setting.

One role will be aligned to our secondary academy and the other will be aligned to our 4 primary academies with responsibility for approximately 250 staff each.  As well as having responsibility for the areas outlined above, the postholders will work alongside the HR Manager and lead on specific areas.  One HR Officer will work on developing and centralising the recruitment, induction and probation processes across the Trust.  The other HR Officer will lead on attendance, retention of staff, central training requirements, benefits and reward as central projects.

You must be a strong communicator with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels. You will be able to show resilience and able to handle a varied workload.  The post offers challenge, reward and role development for the right candidate. The role is based at a school site each morning and at the Leodis Central Office at Blackgates Primary Academy each afternoon.  This will allow successful candidates to experience a varied workload, working closely with a range of colleagues to realise the potential of effective HR across Leodis.

You will be required to work some days outside of term time to ensure that recruitment and payroll processes are completed in line with required deadlines.  This will include at least one week during the school summer holidays.

Benefits include Contributory pension through West Yorkshire Pension Fund, free parking, access to an expanding range of lifestyle benefits including the SAS Employee Assistance Programme which includes access to GP and Physiotherapy appointments, Simply Health cash plan, free flu jabs and a cycle to work scheme.

If you wish to visit the Trust prior to application or to discuss the role further, please contact Sara Cubitt, HR Manager on 0113 340 0035 or recruitment@leodis.org.uk.  Application packs can be downloaded above or are available by contacting 0113 340 0036.

Interviews for the position will be held on 29/30 June 2023

All posts are subject to pre-employment checks, two references will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS), medical clearance and provide evidence of eligibility to work in the UK and evidence of qualifications.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
